HVAC Renovation at Phillip Alampi Beneficial Insect Rearing Laboratory

To engage the services of an HVAC Engineering firm and consulting team with the objective to replace and increase the energy efficiency of the HVAC systems located mostly in the rooftop mechanical penthouse and associated piping, ductwork and environmental controls that impact the central core laboratory space, offices and portions of additional laboratory space in the building. Various spaces will require renovation due to water damage. HVAC control problems and inefficiencies have severely hampered insect rearing capabilities. Uncontrolled humidity in some room has resulted in slipper floors, mold and extremely hazardous work conditions. Six of the rearing rooms are currently inoperable because of HVAC issues.
