Description | Sealed proposals are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the replacement of the high service pumps, piping and associated appurtenances, replacement of the existing and installation of the new electrical and I&C equipment and SCADA systems, construction of a new electrical and control building, installation of a new building housing a new on-site sodium hypochlorite generation (OSHG) system and a new pre-fabricated building housing a new fluoridation system, installation of cathodic protection system, replacement of the existing well pump motors and blow-off piping, recoating of the existing above grade piping and equipment, replacement of the existing site access road and fencing, site/civil improvements including grading and drainage, and all other improvements necessary to complete the project as included in the Contract Documents for the Randolph Pump Station Improvements Project, SAWS Job No. 20-8611. Answers to the questions will be posted to the web site by 5:00 PM (CST) on January 18, 2023, as a separate document or included as part of an addendum. The work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the work described below and all related appurtenances. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Replacement of the three (3) existing PZ 930 12-MGD horizontal split case pumps with vertical turbine pumping units of the same capacity. 2. Replacement of the three (3) existing PZ 1060 6-MGD horizontal split case pumps with vertical turbine pumping units of the same capacity. 3. Replacement of all existing site electrical, instrumentation and controls, and SCADA equipment and installation of new electrical/instrumentation for new facilities, including proposed chemical facilities. 4. New electrical and control building with a below grade vault housing electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA equipment. 5. New chemical building housing a new on-site sodium hypochlorite generation (OSHG) system and prefabricated fluoride building housing a new fluoridation system. 6. New above-ground primary chlorine injection point with a static mixer and a secondary chemical injection point within a vault. 7. Replacement and reconfiguration of well pump blow-off piping and associated appurtenances. 8. Replacement of three (3) 700 HP well pump motors. 9. Painting/re-coating of all existing above-grade equipment and piping to remain in place. The existing GST will not be painted or re-coated. 10. Installation of impressed current cathodic protection system for entire site. 11. Site civil improvements including grading, drainage, replacement of the existing site access road, replacement of the existing site fence, and other appurtenant work. 12. All other appurtenances and miscellaneous work necessary to complete the project as indicated and specified. |
