Description | The City of Topeka is requesting bids for solar powered streetlights to use in residential streets. This bid solicitation is for assisted installation and the procurement of two solar powered streetlights as specified herein. The pilot program intersection for this initial equipment purchase is for the pole located in front of 429 SW Taylor, Topeka, Kansas. Q And A Open2/17/2023 8:31:00 PM Q And A Close3/3/2023 11:30:00 PM The equipment bid by suppliers must meet or exceed the specifications. 1. The bid equipment must be capable of replacing 35 watt NXT luminaire, the City's current equipment. 2. The equipment bid will fit on a 25 ft. pole, originally designed by Inovus Solar for solar street lighting, the City's current equipment and configuration at this intersection. 3. Unit must include: A. Street light arm, B. street light fixture, C. solar power unit and battery for replacement/retrofitting 4. Retrofit unit will adapt to the existing pole with minimum parts. Retrofit products will not damage any existing parts on existing pole. 5. Solar units will be used by the City of Topeka to light residential street for 120 calendar days. 6. Calendar days will start one day after the City provides notice to the seller that lights have been installed and are working properly. 7. Lights will work from dusk to dawn with not less than 5% loss of illumination on the pavement within 30 feet of the center of the existing pole on the luminaire side of the pole. 8. Units shall not compromise the integrity of the existing pole in any way |
