Description | Sealed Bids for the construction of the MOUNT OLIVET 4 MILLLION GALLON GROUND STORAGE RESERVOIR, will be received, by the Leavenworth Waterworks, at the office located at 601 Cherokee, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048, before the above time, at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read at 601 Cherokee, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048. Bids received after the deadline for submission of bids as stated herein shall not be considered and shall be returned to the late bidder unopened. A pre-bid conference will be held at the above time at Leavenworth Waterworks main office located at 601 Cherokee, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is NOT mandatory. The extent of work on this project is the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of the improvements, which consist of: 1. Construction of a 4-million-gallon concrete ground storage reservoir tank to hold finished potable water. 2. Installation of mixing system inside ground storage reservoir. 3. Construction of two 20-inch DIP inlet/outlet pipes to connect the ground storage reservoir to distribution improvements (supplied by others). 4. Site improvements include water main piping, excavation, detention basin, overflow pad, grading and associated earthwork, surface restoration, fencing, seeding, gravel parking, lighting, prefabricated building, telemetry & controls, SWPPP and other associated work including cleanup. 5. All other work as required by the contract documents. 6. Tree and brush clearing to be done by others. Questions on the Bid Documents from general contractors and sub-contractors will be answered by the Lenexa, KS office of the Consulting Engineer. All questions must be submitted using the Request for Information Form (RFI) included in the specifications to Mark Griffin of the consulting engineer via e-mail at scopenhaver@mcclurevision.com. Unless stated otherwise, all orders placed are non-refundable. Corporate, certified, or cashier's checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies.
