Description

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is inviting written bids for all Project Management, Superintendence, labor, machinery, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and appurtenances described by this solicitation. General Project Overview: The proposed contract will be to construct an approximate 470FT x 13FT pond embankment at Cookson WMA. Clear site area of all debris and timber, remove overburden and stockpile for later use. Construct pond embankment as per NRCS details. Great care should be taken to compact soil frequently during the construction process as detailed in the NRCS design specifications. Ensure quality fill material are used as per the NRCS documents. Old pond dam in upper reach of this project shall be removed and used as needed for fill. Construct auxiliary spillway as per NRCS details. Construct concrete pad as described in the specifications and set 72" riser into position. Weld pipe sections together following appropriate industry standards for the type of union. Will require welding at least 4 sections of 36" diameter pipe together. Weld 1/4 " plate over any/all cutout rigging holes in the pipe sections. Construct two (2) 7' x 7' anti-seep collars from four (4) 1/4 " 4' x 8' steel sheets, fit and weld the 36" barrel pipe as per the design specifications. All welds should be of very high quality that will last the lifetime of the welded material and be free of defect and debris and must be watertight. WMA roadway impact: This project will require temporary closure and removal of a section of Walnut Road, a major MWA roadway. Walnut road will be returned to its permanent location as indicated on NRCS drawings after spillway has been installed and other constructions projects are complete.
