I-82/Naches River Bridge EB - Joint Repair

The bridge joints on the eastbound I-82 Naches River Bridge just north of Yakima are deteriorating and need to be repaired. Replace the existing joint to provide a smoother ride and preserve the structural integrity of the bridge. As of February 24, 2023, this project is in Conceptual status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be complete in the third quarter of 2024. The contract advertisement is expected in fourth quarter of 2024 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the fourth quarter of 2025. A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
