Description | The work shall consist of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, supervision, and expertise to provide aquatic vegetation control for waterways located on District sites. 1. Provide monthly treatment of SDOC retention/detention ponds to minimize the aquatic vegetation above and below the water in Osceola District School’s waterways to a healthy and aesthetically pleasing manner. 2. Provide control and prevention of noxious aquatic weeds and algae above and below the water line. 3. Provide shoreline weed control at the water’s edge, by either chemical or manual means, while maintaining the healthiness of the grass bank to prevent erosion. 4. Provide monthly reports of all treated waterways and what methodology was used to treat them. 5. Provide a copy of the monthly reports to the Maintenance Department with a copy of your invoices. 6. Provide an annual price based on a monthly service per District site (twelve (12) treatments per year) 7. Provide all services in house. The use of subcontractors is not allowed unless approved in writing by the District. 8. Provide a list of all chemicals, tools and equipment to be used to fulfill the requirements of this contract. 9. Provide selective herbicides and application procedures to ensure survivability of the existing planted and/or recruited vegetation deemed acceptable by the governing regulatory agencies. 10. Provide chemicals (herbicides) that are non-toxic to aquatic systems and to be properly applied in accordance with each manufacturer’s instructions. 11. Provide a copy of your Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service, Commercial Aquatic Pest Control license. 12. Provide only approved herbicides and algaecides in strict compliance with state and federal environmental guidelines. 13. Provide all services listed herein by a licensed applicator, or under the direct supervision of a licensed applicator. |
