Baker Lab 200 Auditorium Renovation

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: 1. The Work of this Section includes all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the Work shown on the drawings and/or specified herein. Generally, the project includes a full interior renovation of the Baker Lab 200 Auditorium, adjacent Prep Room, and interior stairs. There is work outside of the areas described above, to support the work. The scope includes all construction required to accomplish the work, as shown on drawings, including but not limited to the following: a. Provide temporary partitions at work areas. Maintain proper egress at all times. b. Remove existing ceiling grid and tile and adhered ceiling tile. Provide and install new hard ceiling, suspended acoustical ceiling, adhered ceiling tile, and acoustical light-box system. c. Provide new mechanical systems and controls which includes refurbishment of existing equipment. d. Demolish and provide new laboratory casework, equipment, and fume hoods, including all utility and service connections required. e. Demolish existing sloped floor and auditorium seating. Install new sloped, tiered floor, floor finish, and new fixed audience seating. Provide alterations to existing stairs, including structure, treads, risers, posts, railings, and adjacent floor structure. f. Provide new interior walls, fire-rated and non-rated. Install new doors and frames. Install access control on doors. g. Provide all plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire protection and low voltage systems required for a complete installation. Demolish existing audiovisual systems. Owner to provide and install new AV systems, includes projectors, projection screen, assisted listening device system, and controls. h. Demolish existing and install new lighting fixtures, system, and controls. i. Demolish existing windows and install new (both base and alternate bids). j. Demolish existing and provide new finishes, including, but not limited to flooring, painting, ceilings, acoustical wall and ceiling treatments, and plater trim/cornice work. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION BUDGET: $2.5M-$2.75M PROJECT SCHEDULE: Start: Within five (5) days of written authorization to proceed. Completion: August 4, 2023
