2023 Carroll Park Improvements Project Re-Bid

Completion Date: Aug. 4, 2023 Pre-Qualification: Yes Description: The work for this project consists primarily of demolition of an existing bathroom building and construction of a new concrete masonry bathroom and concessions building in Carroll Park on Isle La Plume in La Crosse. The work for this project will consist primarily of, but not limited to, the following: demolition; excavation; concrete masonry; concrete slabs and footings; engineered wood trusses; horizontal lap siding; asphalt shingles and roof vents; water supply, drain and vent piping; bathroom fixtures and toilet partitions; installation of city-suppled concession appliances, machines and stainless steel tables; drinking fountains and sinks; electrical systems; interior and exterior light fixtures; flag poles; overhead doors; and picnic tables. This project is occurring in an abandoned landfill site and landfill materials, possibly including hazardous materials, will likely be encountered while conducting work on this project. Any encountered landfilled materials that need to be hauled off-site shall be hauled and disposed of according to all applicable state and federal regulations. Any encountered landfilled materials that can remain on-site, as well as any undisturbed landfilled materials, are to be covered with a minimum 12" layer of clean fill and a minimum 4" layer of topsoil during final grading operations. An asbestos inspection has been done in the existing bathroom building and no asbestos was found. A copy of the asbestos inspection report is available from the City for review. This project shall require that updated schedules for delivery of all project equipment, furnishings and materials be provided with all project payment applications. The City shall obtain the following permits and approvals required for this project: Wisconsin DNR Land Disturbance and Sanitary Sewer Extension permits City of La Crosse Design Review Process approval and Stormwater permit State Building Plan, Building Plumbing Plan and Site Plumbing Plan approvals Construction administration services will be provided by ME.
