Description | The City of Ocala adopts FDOTs goal of 10.65% as a race-neutral DBE goal. This project consists of replacing sewer force main on State Road 464 (SE 17th Street). This force main is coming from the Master Lift Station #5 that pumps to Water Reclamation Facility #2. Construction is within the right-of-way of SR 464, starting east of Lake Weir Ave, crossing the Florida Northern railroad tracks, to west of SE 25th Ave as shown on the plan set by the Project Boundary in Exhibit B - Plan Set and Exhibit C - Maintenance of Traffic. Contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, and equipment (in good working condition) to complete the abandonment of the existing force main, construction of the new force main, ARV's upgrades and all the connections. This project will be fully performed on night shift (8pm to 6am), with the exception of the work related to the railroad crossing that will be performed during a weekend on a 24 hours shift. This project has alternate line items for directional drilling (in lieu open cut) the entire main as per FDOT requirement. PRICING AND AWARD 1. Bids will be received on a line item basis. 2. Bidder must upload a completed Price Proposal with their response. 3. Bidder must bid on all line items. 4. The quantities in Price Proposal are estimated and should not be construed as guaranteed minimums. 5. The City will pay the Contractor only for the actual units that the Contractor provides, installs, or constructs. 6. Award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting all requirements outlined herein. 7. Bidder will honor prices for sixty (90) days after award of solicitation. |
