| Description | Removal and replacement of the existing upper roof consisting of approximately 13,260 SF. Work includes removing the existing roofing membrane to insulation, replacing any damaged insulation and and installing a new roofing assembly. Key work items are listed below; drawings and specifications describe full requirements. 1. Remove and dispose the existing gravel and top layer of existing bitumen. 2. Remove sheet metal roof flashings and counter flashings as required to install the new roofing. 3. Install new additional base layer of ISO foam insulation as part of the roof insulation system. 4. Install new HD ISO cover board. 5. Install wood nailers and modify curb height as needed. 6. Install a fully adhered EPDM roof system and EPDM uncured and cured flashings. 7. Install new sheet metal flashings, counter-flashings and coping systems. 8. Provide a manufacturer’s 20 year leak free warranty covering labor and material at a no-dollar-limit. 9. Provide a two-year MRCA Contractor’s warranty covering the roofing in a watertight condition. |
