Description | Potential bidders are hereby cautioned that they are bidding at their own risk and that the bid documents may or may not be complete if the bid documents were provided by a third party supplier. Questions regarding the bid must be made via email to DMacken@newroadconstruction.com; Ref: "HVAC Improvements Bid Question."All questions must be received by Friday, September 8, 2023 not later than 5:00 PM.For HVAC Improvements with all work incidental thereto for the contract, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by David P. Macken, RA, Architect. Bid documents may be examined by appointment, at the office of New Road Construction Management Company, 1876 Greentree Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Bids must be made on the proposal forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of bidder and proposal identification on the outside, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Burlington Township Board of Education for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the base bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. (Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24). Prospective bidders are advised that this Project is one which will be subject and will be governed by provisions of New Jersey State Law governing: (a) Prequalification's of Bidders N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26 et seq. (b) Prevailing Wage Rates N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27 (c) Use of Domestic Materials, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-20 including any amendments and supplements thereto (d) P.L. 1977, Chapter 33, (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2) listing corporate / partnership names and addresses for individuals with a share of 10% or more and (e) Disclosure of investment activities in Iran in accordance with P.L.2012, c.25 and N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-49.4. (f) The New Jersey Civil Rights Act, the Equal Opportunities Law and the Law Against Discrimination, N.J.S.A. 10:1-1, et. seq.; 2-1 et. seq. and 5-1 et. seq. (g) The Affirmative Action Law and regulations, N.J.S.A 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1, et. seq. "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act" became effective on April 11, 2000. A copy of the certificate must be included in the bid package. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 all business organizations that do business with a local contracting agency are required to be registered with the State and provide proof of their Registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue before the contracting agency may enter into a contract with the business. All bidders shall adhere to the information as classified as "New Jersey Business Registration Requirements". In addition and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, each bid must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating it will provide said bidder with a bond in such sum as required by the above referenced statute. The bidder or its subcontractors shall be classified by the State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction and the New Jersey Schools Development Authority in the following classifications: C032 HVACR C047 Electrical Proposals may not be modified after submittal. Bidders may withdraw bids any time prior to opening. Proposals may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Proposals must be submitted on a copy of the Form of Proposal enclosed in the Bid Specification. In accordance with applicable law, bidders must comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, Chapter 127, NJAC 17:27 Laws Against Discrimination. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or reject any and/or all bids as may be deemed to be in its best interest as permitted by law. Bidders are responsible for all requirements listed in the Invitation to Bid and as printed in the bid specification. Neither Burlington Township Board of Education, the Architect, nor New Road Construction Management Company is responsible for errors or omissions in versions of the advertisement appearing in other publications. |
