Description

Request for qualifications general contractors repair building envelope everett senior center maryville-alcoa-blount county parks and recreation commission maryville, tennessee The Maryville-Alcoa-Blount County Parks and Recreation Commission (Parks and Rec) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from interested and qualified General Contractors to participate in a select group of Contractors Pre-Qualified to Bid on Improvements to the Building Envelope at the Everett Senior Center. Parks & Rec operates this 11,800 SF facility built about 20 years ago. The existing Facility is in need of repair of the Building envelope system. Primary building envelope exterior components include: Cementitious Board Aluminum Storefront Masonry This project is to include a new Exterior Insulation Finishing System for the building, replacement of the aluminum storefront (in most areas), and installation of new TPO roofing on flat areas of the existing roof. Miscellaneous drywall repair and painting is also included. II - CONTENT OF QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Name, address and proper contact person. 2. Number of years in business. 3. Provide examples of projects completed in the last 8 years for building envelope restoration projects which involve: A. Projects in and around active on-going facilities, to include secure facilities. i. Temporary protection of building occupants. ii. Temporary weather protection of existing buildings that successfully prevented water infiltration. B. Successful execution of the work through phasing requirements and through creative work access means. 4. Evidence of ability to perform work in Tennessee III NO CONTACT POLICY: Parks and Rec has a no-contact policy on the selection process. The no-contact policy is intended to prohibit any potential proposer from engaging in any direct or indirect lobbying of any Board Member, staff member, other persons or organization that may be involved in this RFQ process. The no-contact policy is effective between the date this RFQ is issued and the date of the approval of the Agreement for Services by the Board of Commissioners. Questions submitted in writing to the Engineer for clarifications of the information contained in this RFQ are not prohibited by this policy. IV - TITLE VI SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Maryville-Alcoa-Blount County Parks and Recreation Commission, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. V - MISCELLANEOUS To the extent permitted by applicable law, Parks and Rec reserves the right to (i) supplement, amend or otherwise modify the terms of this RFQ, (ii) reject any and all Statements of Qualifications, (iii) waive any informality in the RFQ process or parts thereof, (iv) re-solicit Statements of Qualifications, and (v) select more than one proposer as a result of the RFQ. Parks and Rec does not guarantee that a firm will be selected to provide services as a result of the RFQ or that an agreement will be successfully consummated with the selected proposer.
