Description The project includes the partial reconstruction of a 79-foot section of an existing granite block seawall and full replacement of a 41-foot section of an existing concrete bulkhead adjacent to a timber pier. The granite block wall repair includes removal of the top 2-3 courses and resetting them, pinned together, with clean backfill and a drainage collection system behind the wall to prevent future erosion of backfill material. Preparation for the bulkhead work includes disconnecting and partially removing the first span of the existing adjacent timber pier and relocating the adjacent timber framed pavilion. The bulkhead work will include driving steel sheet piles on the landward side of the existing concrete bulkhead, removing the existing concrete bulkhead, installation of a cast-in-place concrete sheet pile cap, and reinstallation/reconstruction of the pavilion and pier span.
