Description

PROJECT SUMMARY: The Joycelyn V. Johnson Municipal Services Center, located at 2000 Lowery Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, is a 320,000 sq.ft. facility owned by the City of Winston-Salem. Approximately 60% of the roof is in need of replacement. The chosen design firm will provide plans and specifications for competitive bidding, and then conduct construction administration. PROJECT SCOPE: Assess and evaluate the existing structure; make recommendations for roof replacement and repairs; develop a preliminary design and cost estimate; develop construction documents with technical specifications and drawings; assist the City with bidding and pre-bid meeting, and following award of the construction contract, provide construction administration for the project by regular site visits to monitor progress and serve as liaison between City and Contractor.
