Description

Wayfinding Sign Production and Installation. The City of Miami Gardens is soliciting bids for fabrication and installation of wayfinding signage throughout the City's Right of Way. Design and construction plans have been completed by the City's consultant and have been approved by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Miami-Da de County (MDC) pending final interlocal agreement. The approach proposed for this project should address the activities and work products discussed in the Project Scope. The contractor is free to suggest changes or alterations as part of their means and methods approach. The selected project approach should incorporate the following elements. Question Deadline 12/28/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Deadline for submittal of questions, Unless otherwise stated in the Solicitation, any questions concerning conditions and specifications should be submitted in writing to the Office of Procurement Management via email procurement1@miamigardensfl.gov. The City of Miami Gardens Wayfinding Signage should conform to the Project Description and Project Scope as detailed above. Bid Bond (10%) of the vendor's total bid amount. a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount that represents 100% of the vendors offer price, to be in the form of a Cashier's Check, made payable to the City of Miami Gardens; a bond written by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida and shall comply with State Statute 287.0935; or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit. Licenses: Bidder has a Florida State General Contractors license or current certificate of competency issued by Miami-Dade County. Provide proof, in the form of a copy of license(s), that the Bidder meets this qualification. Bidder must have experience working with FDOT (or following FDOT Standards), in constructing a minimum of five (5) similar projects since 2018, with a minimum contract value of $1,000,000, that had the following components fabrication sign installation; removal of existing signs; electrical permitting and installation of illuminated signs and any associated parts and labor needed; concrete restoration; irrigation; and installation of sod; per the construction documents of Wayfinding signs, and gateway sign. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES As compensation due the City for loss of use and for additional costs incurred due to such non-completion of the work, the City shall have the right to deduct the said liquidated damages from any amount due or that may become due to the bidder under this agreement or to invoice the bidder for such damages if the costs incurred exceed the amount due to the bidder. These liquidated damages of $100.00 per day will be deducted from the contract sum for each calendar day elapsing beyond the mutually agreed project completion time for each purchase order/project. The City reserves the right to waive irregularities in Solicitations or to reject all Solicitations or any part of any Solicitation deemed necessary for the best interest of the City of Miami Gardens, Florida.
