| Description | The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) requires re-painting the exterior of the 2 story Locktender’s House (CDB building #A7760/IDNR 4855), circa 1848. The historic residence structure is in dire need of re-painting. The 1644 SF wood frame and sided building is experiencing flaking and weathered paint. The existing siding was replaced 20 years ago and is smooth cedar. Work will include hand scraping (can use low pressure power wash, maximum 400psi), priming, caulking and re-painting with 2 coats of latex paint, brush applied. Work includes painting frames of screen and storm windows that are stockpiled. Paint color will be white to match existing paint and paint will be flat white latex. No carpentry repairs are included with this work. |
