Description | **As of October 18, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on November 21, 2022.** The work to be performed under this contract includes the resetting of inlet castings along Main Street from Route 22 to Youngs Road and the construction of ADA accessible curb ramps and roadway reconstruction at the intersections of Myrtle Avenue, High Street, Maple Street, Cherry Street and Youngs Road with Main Street, and associated improvements. An alternate bid is included in the proposal package for the purpose of separating the quantities of work to be performed utilizing separate NJDOT Local Aid grants for Main Street Section 1 and Section 2, which have been provided to the Borough under different fiscal year awards. The Governing Body, if electing to award, will award the base bid plus the alternate bid. Neither the base bid or the alternate bid will be awarded separately. Each bid must be made on the prescribed forms furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including Non-collusion Affidavit, and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.00. Bids may be submitted by mail, but will be considered only if received on or before such date and time. Bidders are advised that New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Aid Funding will be utilized on this project for work on Clark Road. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, and PL 1977, c.33. Bidders are required to comply with the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate Law, P.L. 2004,c. 57. Bidders are required to comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 1999,c. 238. The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Borough, will be in the best interest of the Borough, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. Achieve Substantial Completion within 45 Calendar days The Bidder must also agree to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of Seven Hundred and Fifty ($750.00) per day, for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as herein provided. |
