| Description | A. The work will done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1.) All engineering, equipment, labor and permits required to satisfactorily complete the following improvements related to the cooling tower media upgrades and access platform construction at the BCA – Maryland facility. Access platform repairs and new work include construction of a new lower platform to access the cooling tower equipment, construction of new stair and platform at mid-level equipment and panels, replacement of steel posts supporting upper platform, and sandblasting of steel beams at base of structure. Cooling tower media upgrades include replacement of fill media, sealing all seams and pans for weather-tight enclosure, installation of gaskets at piping connections, installation of basin sweep system, and installation of BAS controls integrated into existing chiller controls. |
