West End Avenue Sanitary Sewer Replacement

The work generally consists of removal and disposal of 530 linear feet of 24-inch cast iron pipe sanitary sewer; installation of 530 linear feet of 24-inch diameter ductile iron sanitary sewer pipe, including an approximate 60 linear foot section crossing a bridge; maintenance/bypass of gravity wastewater flows; replacement of existing sanitary sewer main pipe hanger assemblies, concrete bridge deck, asphalt, sidewalk, and curb disturbed within the project limits; and the implementation of traffic control. The work is located along West End Avenue (County Route 649), the West End Avenue Bridge over the Stony Brook, and portions of intersecting streets within the Borough of North Plainfield. Work includes all general construction, site work, permit compliance, sewer, and structural work necessary to complete the replacement of the 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer main line.
