Description | SCOPE OF WORK Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to repair or replace multiple backflow preventers and if necessary, quarter turn, isolation ball valves. Contractor shall ensure installation, testing, and certification is in compliance with all local water district requirements. Contractor shall provide copies of all testing results and certifications to the USCG. Location of work: 1 Eagle Rd, Coast Guard Base Alameda on Coast Guard Island, Alameda, CA. Contractor shall remove and replace existing Building-1 Medical/Dental back flow preventer 3" FEBCO 825YD RP Serial # 12360 and raise it up with new 3" Wilkins 375AST NRS or device of similar size, material, and functionality. This will be code compliant. Coordinate water shutdown to gate valve in street serving backflow. Remove, haul off, and dispose of existing 3" reduced pressure assembly. Provide and install necessary 3" galvanized fittings, flanges, pipe, unions, and equipment needed to raise and fit new 3" stainless bodied Wilkins 375ASTR NRS reduced pressure assembly, or , device of similar size, material, and functionality . Will be attaching new fittings and backflow assembly to existing 3" galvanized vertical risers coming from underground below existing backflow assembly. Restore water to the new backflow assembly, test and certify the new backflow device. Will forward certified test results to the customer. Restore water to the building. Contractor shell rebuild two parallel 6" back flow devices serving main water to island from 10" EBMUD main. Units located on the left Oakland side of the bridge: Rebuild of one backflow at a time to always maintain water to the island. Rebuild of one backflow at a time to always maintain water to the island. Disassemble clean and flush valve bodies for both 6" Wilkins 475 reduced pressure assemblies. Provide and install new complete #1 and #2 check modules and new check retainers for both reduced pressure assemblies. Disassemble clean and flush both relief valve modules. Provide and install new complete relief valve modules. Restore water to the backflow assemblies, test and certify backflow devices. Will forward certified test results to the customer. Restore domestic water to the system.
