Description | The work generally consists of providing all equipment, materials, and traffic control to inspect approximately 750,000 feet of sanitary sewers annually using CCTV. Central Sans estimated budget per year is $1,000,000, up to four additional years, for a total of $5,000,000. Prevailing Wages are required. Please register with CA DIR for the new SB 854 requirement. Once you have registered, please update your vendor profile. We will be restricting bids per this new requirement to only CA DIR registered vendors. Bid instructions reminder: All forms in Bid Forms shall be executed and submitted in their entirety in a sealed envelope. All blank spaces shall be filled in and any modification to the Bidder-supplied information shall be initialed by the Bidder. Failure to comply with these requirements may, at the discretion of the District, be grounds for rejection of bid. Partial or incomplete bids will not be considered. Copies of the Project Documents and addenda may be obtained at the Districts Permit Counter, through PlanetBids or by calling Ramona Seguerre at (925) 229-7349. A complete set of Project Documents on CD is available at no cost; each complete paper set of Project Documents is available for a nonrefundable fee of $30. Payment must be made at the time the documents are obtained at the Permit Counter or through PlanetBids. Checks (payable to Central Contra Costa Sanitary District) and credit cards are accepted. All bidders and subcontractors to bidders must be registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the California Labor Code, subject to limited legal exceptions under California Labor Code Section 1771.1. Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Section 1770 et. seq. of the Labor Code of the State of California, the successful bidding contractor and its subcontractors shall pay their labor forces not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the State of California Director of Industrial Relations, and travel and subsistence pay as such are defined in applicable collective bargaining agreements filed in accordance with Section 1773.8 of said Labor Code, for work needed and performed on this Project. Said determinations, in effect at the time of publishing this notice, are on file at the above identified District office and may be examined at said office; copies of the prevailing wage rates are available to any interested party on the internet. It shall, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773.2 of said Labor Code, be a requirement of the work for the successful bidding contractor to post and maintain a copy of said wages determination at the Project site throughout duration of the work. Pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1771.4, this Contract is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations. Bids to receive consideration must be signed by the bonafide prime contractor who proposes to undertake the work and who is properly licensed in accordance with the Contractors License Law as provided beginning at Section 7000 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California. The license classification(s) required for the work are as follows: A or C34.The Bidder shall have the required license(s). Each bid submitted (hard copy) must be on the forms furnished within the Project Manual and must be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check or Bidders bond for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate total bid. Pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedures Section 995.311, the District will verify all bonds for this Project are issued and executed by a California admitted surety The Contractor shall be allowed to substitute securities for any monies withheld to ensure performance under this Contract pursuant to Section 22300 of the California Public Contract Code. The District Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all bids for the work and waive any non-material irregularities in bids received. |
