Description | Qualified general contractors are invited to submit qualifications for two Construction Manager General Contractor (CMGC) projects. Qualifications for these two projects will be submitted together in a single submittal in STEP I of this RFP. Shortlisted contractors should submit two (2) preconstruction cost proposals for the STEP II of this RFP, one for each project. The two projects will be contracted separately using two Construction Manager/General Contractor Agreements (CMGC) SC 6.5. ITS Maintenance Yard is located on an existing 1.2-acre parcel on Wadsworth Bypass in Arvada. There is an existing pre-engineered metal building and fabric storage structure that will be demolished by CDOT. The project will relocate the CDOT ITS Maintenance staff to this location from Golden. One new building will contain a warehouse with an administrative support space with offices, restrooms, and a break area, and a vehicle storage area for washing trucks and changing oil. The other structure will be an open-air storage structure for the storage of six trucks. Coal Creek VSF Project is located on an existing maintenance site on Coal Creek Canyon Road (Hwy 72) in Jefferson County. There is an existing building that will be demolished by CDOT and an existing sand shed that will remain. The existing gate and site access will remain. The extent of the site work will include the new building, associated utilities and addressing the grading at that building and the sand shed to ensure water drains away from both buildings and down the hill to an existing PWQ structure.
