Description

The 99 Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) has a requirement for the removal of one (1) each domestic water storage tank, the installation of two (2) each PK model # D3-801 (brand name only) instantaneous domestic hot water heat exchangers, removal of one (1) each PK W1700VX boiler, installation of one (1) new Patterson Kelly (PK) C2000H (brand name only) boiler with stainless alloy heat engine, creation of a new 3 inch copper piping closed loop heating hot water (HHW) system between the boiler and the heat exchangers with appropriate dielectric connection to the inlet and outlet of the boiler. Installation of one (1) new 10 gallon expansion tank, one (1) each 3-inch flanged air separator, two (2) each inline pumps, installation of Type L hard copper tube domestic side piping, new exhaust vent system AL29-4C SS double-wall, pipe insulation and all required electrical. HHW shall be generated on a closed loop from the new C2000H PK boiler. Provisions shall be made by the contractor for the future addition of one (1) more PK C2000H hot water boiler for backup or redundancy purposes. The existing mixing station shall be abandoned in place. The work covered by this SOW requires the contractor to provide a turnkey solution that includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, supervision, tools, equipment, incidental works and professional design necessary to complete the project. The installation shall be per the manufacturer’s installation instructions. The contractor shall adhere to the most current Building Codes, Regulations, Guidelines, and Industry Standards in the performance of this project. Factory startup and owner training of the equipment to be provided by McCook Boiler & Pump.
