Description | Clarification Deadline 6/23/2022 2:00 PM The Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, apparatus and all other incidental work required to complete the demolition of the 100,000 gallon water storage tank as specified and shown on the Drawings. The Work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: . Preparation of a written work plan, to describe the methods proposed for construction, and the measures to be implemented for protecting residential properties and for minimizing the impacts of construction operations on the neighborhood. Installation, maintenances, and disposal of all Erosion and Sediment Control Measures, including along the perimeter of the work area and around the soil transfer area. 3. Demolition and legal disposal of the existing 100,000 gallon Water Storage Tank, support structures, and concrete pedestal foundations which are to be saw cut and removed to a minimum depth of 4-inches below the finished grade. 4. Removal and legal disposal of portion of chain link fence within the soil management area. 5. Excavation and legal disposal of soils and materials within the limits of the soil management area to a facility certified to accept lead contaminated soils, as defined in the Drawings on the Soil Management Plan and Disposal of Controlled Materials. Coordination of sampling soils from the excavation base and the soil stockpile is to be performed by LEP. 6. Additional excavation - The depth of final excavation may vary based on the results of laboratory testing. Additional excavation may be required, as directed by the Engineer or LEP. 7. Site restoration including backfilling the excavation, grading the area to allow for proper drainage, and loam and seeding. 8. Providing and installing new chain link fence to replace portion removed prior to soil excavation. 9. Maintenance and repair of all work for a period of one (1) year following the issuance of the Certificate of Substantial Completion. 10. The Work shall also conform to such additional Drawings and addenda to these Specifications and Drawings as may be published or exhibited prior to the opening of bid proposals and to such Drawings in explanation of details, or as may be furnished by the Engineer from time to time during the construction. 11. Work, materials, equipment, and storage areas, which are necessary for construction, but which are not specifically referred to in the Specifications or shown on the Drawings, but implied by the contract, shall be furnished by the Contractor at his own cost and expense, and shall be such as will correspond with the general character of the Work, as may be determined by the Engineer, whose decisions as to the necessity for and character of such work and materials shall be final and conclusive. It is the intent of these Specifications to produce a complete, finished job, whether shown in every detail or not |
