Hot Mix Asphalt Patching

Quantities will vary but generally are between 15 and 60 Square yards each. Two zones in the county will bid out. Zone 1 (Southern) includes Townships: Wilmot, Nunda, Forest, Mentor, Ellis, Walker, Tuscarora, Koehler, & Waverly. Zone 2 (Northern) includes Townships: Burt, Mullett, Aloha, Grant, Munro, Inverness, Benton, Hebron, Beaugrand & Mackinaw. The Authorized CCRC Personnel will give the notice to contractor when patch is ready. Contractor has 14 calendar days to complete, unless otherwise negotiated with Authorized CCRC Personnel. If contractor finishes patch with in 5 calendar days of notice, contractor will receive a performance bonus of 10% above bid price per square yard. It is anticipated that the contractor will have to remove existing aggregate from area to be patch to required depth. Existing Aggregate material that is removed shall be placed on shoulders on each side of the road for shoulder material and leveled off. Contractor shall saw cut existing HMA and remove material to create a vertical joint. Existing HMA joint shall be tacked with a binding agent. Contractor shall place, either by hand or mechanical means, HMA 4E1 or equivalent material, and then compacted to an acceptable density. Traffic will be maintained by the Contractor in accordance with the 2011 Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. All work is required to be completed in the same day, unless unforeseen circumstances occur (HMA plant failure, etc)

Division 32 -	Exterior Improvements, Flexible Paving, Asphalt Paving, Rigid Paving, Concrete Paving, Paving Specialties, Pavement Markings.
Division 33 -	Utilities, Storm Drainage Utilities, Storm Drainage Structures.
