Description | For Courthouse Cooling Tower Replacement Project No proposal will be considered unless it is made on the blanks furnished by the County. No bidder shall take any exception to any requirement of the specifications. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than 100 days from the date the contractor has all materials, equipment and supplies to complete the project. Downtime from when the existing tower is removed to when the new one is operable shall be limited to 1 week. Contractor shall coordinate downtime of air conditioning with owner before taking out of service Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1) A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents or 2) a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of Ottawa County, Ohio, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. The bid guaranty must meet all requirements of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code and the Instructions to Bidders. All work shall be carried out in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that apply to the work. Any project specification item in conflict with a federal, state, or local law, rule or regulation, shall be void. This project falls under the State of Ohio Prevailing Wage requirements. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities in a bid, or to accept that bid which in the judgment of proper officials is to the best interest of the County |
