CD 1.10 Odor Control Scrubber Buildings S0606 and S0608 Upgrade

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for replacement of scrubber towers, sensors, ductwork, piping, gaskets, valves, brackets, hangers, recirculation pumps, scrubber fans, chemical storage tanks and feed pumps, chemical loading areas, emergency eye wash, and containment in the scrubber buildings; Replacing foul air ducts from Grit Chamber Building #2 to Scrubber Building S0608 and replace and install new foul air duct from Grit Chamber Building #1 to Scrubber Building S0606; Maintaining the means to utilize hypochlorite tanks at the Scrubber Buildings as a backup feed to hypo generation; Demolition of existing Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and control panels, replacement of electrical feeder(s) from Grit Chamber Buildings to MCCs and provide redundant feeds; Replacement of local control stations, interior and exterior lighting fixtures with LED type. Replacement of all odor control instrumentation and control, including new gas monitoring devices and fire detection alarm; Replacement of ventilation systems for scrubber buildings S0606 and 0608, including roof exhaust fans. Interior and exterior building rehabilitation including doors, windows, roofing, sump pumps, roof drains, walkway replacement, and concrete patching. The work also includes design of two new climate controlled stand-alone electrical buildings to relocate all electrical and control panels currently residing in the scrubber buildings. The electrical buildings shall be constructed at a minimum of 19 ft (NGVD 29) finished floor elevation. Paving, grading, and drainage design as required to incorporate the improvement in the existing site shall also be included. The Small Business Enterprise - Construction goal is 7.61% and the Small Business Enterprise - Goods goal is 2.00% which is based on the construction estimate plus the 10% Contingency Allowance.
