Description

This project consists of the following: 3/4” Road Base Hermosa Area –20,000 tons plus or minus Pringle Area – 30,000 tons plus or minus Buffalo Gap Area – 40,000 tons plus or minus All products are to be FOB Quarry.This shall consist of crushed limestone and clay binder, in the gradations indicated and Stockpiled on a prepared bed at a specified location. Gradation of each designated size of aggregates shall be obtained by crushing, screening, and blending process as may be necessary and shall be in conformity to the percentages shown in applicable table. Granular material of which 30% of the particles retained on the No. 4 sieve shall contain one or more fractured faces. Custer County will require one screen analysis and P.I. work sheet for the first 500 tons and then one every 3000 tons to be completed by a Certified Independent Laboratory. The County shall require certified tests in accordance to ASSHTO T-27. The portion of the filler, including blended filler, shall have plasticity index of not more than 7 or less than 4 as determined by ASSHTO Method T-90.
