Description | Unit must include the following: 1. 3-Phase power protection. 2. Hail guards on all condenser/outdoor coils. 3. Hinged doors with tool-less entry. 4. Minimum Energy Efficiency Ratio shall be 12. 5. Stainless - steel or composite condensate pans, sloped to comply with ASHRAE 62. 6. Coils shall be aluminum fin, mechanically bonded to seamless copper tubing. Copper evaporator and condenser coils are preferred. Total aluminum condenser coils will be accepted with the prior approval of the CCSD Maintenance Department. 7. Compressors shall be hermetic type equipped with low, and high- pressure cutouts, motor overload protection, crankcase heater, and compressor time delay nonrecycling relay. 8. Stainless steel gas heat exchangers. Controls shall include high limit, intermittent spark ignition, pilot flame sensor, main gas valve and redundant gas valve to achieve 100% pilot shut-off. 9. Hot gas re-heat for dehumidification to be controlled by the building automation system. Unit shall provide neutral supply air between 68 and 75 degrees. 10. Evaporator fans shall be a forward curved or vane axial centrifugal with direct drive motors on units 5 ton and smaller and adjustable V-belt drive on units larger than 5 tons. Motors shall have thermal overload protection. Ductwork shall be engineered with static pressure no greater than 1.0. An automatic belt tensioner may be allowed (ONLY) if approved by the Cobb County School District Maintenance Department and the Mechanical Engineer. If a higher efficiency RTU with a direct drive motor will provide the engineers designed static pressure, submit the higher efficient unit. |
