Ready Mix Concrete

Deliveries of Ready-Mix Concrete to be purchased on an as-needed basis by the Department. This contract and its awarded bid pricing shall remain effective from April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024 • Concrete mix designs shall be in accordance with the current ODOT Construction and Materials Specifications. Follow link in Section 9 below. • Mixing plants must be certified by the ODOT Office of Materials Management. • Low Strength Concrete: 250 lbs. of Portland cement, 1580 lbs. of fine aggregate, 1930 lbs. of course Aggregate (#57), 20 gal.of water, and 14 oz. of water-reducing admixture. With 6 % air this mix design yields 27 cubic feet. • Low Strength Mortar shall consist of Item 613, Type 2. Additional cement may be added in 10 lb. increments, up to 100 lbs. additional cement. (Refer to 2023 C&MS) Invitation No. 062-24 3 • Fast setting Concrete shall consist of item 499, QC FS (modified). The accelerator used must be non-calcium chloride. (Refer to 2023 C&MS) • Flowable Grout Mix: 175 lbs. Portland cement, 1,200 lbs. fly ash, 1,450 lbs. sand, and 75 lbs. water. Pre-bid questions/inquiries must be submitted electronically through the website It is strongly recommended that all interested bidders not already registered with Ohio Shared Services submit the paperwork prior to the bid submission deadline. Department shall reserve the right to revoke its award to the bidder and immediately cancel any resulting Contract.
