Morrison Moore Pedestrian Bridge and Sidewalks

The City of Dahlonega, working collectively with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Lumpkin County, is seeking engineering design, environmental and administration services for permitting, right-of-way acquisition, preliminary engineering, construction administration, environmental compliance, cost estimating, inspecting, record-keeping and project closeout, all in compliance with GDOT and federal requirements for FHWA funded state projects and in accordance with the GDOT Plan Development Process (PDP). As of July 25, 2022, this project is still very early in the design phase. Construction funds have not yet been applied for. An engineer has been selected for the project. Information regarding the general contractor and the method of selection has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline cannot currently be established, construction is not expected to commence prior to second quarter of 2024.
