Food Service Building Renovation

In general, the work consists of renovation of the food service building at Mendota Mental Health Institute. A new kitchen will be constructed in the location of the present Conference Center space. This will allow meal preparation to continue while the new kitchen is constructed. All mechanical electrical and plumbing systems will be replaced. Abandoned built in coolers and freezers will be demolished to allow for better food and material storage in the lower level. The building envelope will be repaired to preserve the structural integrity of the building. An accessible entrance and vertical platform lift will be added to the west building entrance. The bidder is responsible for the sealed bid being delivered to the indicated location for receipt stamping before the time specified for the bid opening. Third party delivery is entirely at the bidder's risk. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted
