Description | This project is for architectural services necessary for the renovation of the WPCF Administration Building. The goal of this project is to renovate the Administration Building to provide an efficient and effective use of the space for decades to come. Aesthetically pleasing, durable, and low maintenance finishes throughout the building should be considered throughout the design. The anticipated renovation will all take place in the interior of the Administration Building. A copy of the existing floor plan is attached for your reference. This overall interior renovation shall include surface upgrades throughout such as new paint, carpet, flooring, base, ceiling, and lighting upgrades throughout the building. Key elements to be included in the renovation are described below. ?1.Training/Conference Room: The addition of a new conference room to accommodate 25- 30 people is necessary. An evaluation of where to best place this conference room is expected during the preliminary design phase. Storage space for tables and chairs should be located near the conference room. An Audio-Visual system for this room shall be included. 2. Existing Laboratory Space: This will involve extensive demolition and reconfiguration of spaces. This space is anticipated to either be used for a new conference room, or a new control room/maintenance office/electrical workshop area. 3. Locker Rooms: Upgrade finishes throughout including new floor tile, ceiling tile, plumbing fixtures. Evaluate existing layout in mens locker room to allow additional changing area space. This may include removing a shower, sink, and storage closet. Potentially, the renovations would also include an additional shower to the women?s locker room. 4. Public Restrooms: Upgrade finishes throughout including new floor tile, ceiling tile, and plumbing fixtures. Renovated restrooms shall provide ADA accessibility. 5. Breakroom: Potentially decrease the size of the existing breakroom to utilize a portion of this space for other purposes. 6. Electrical Workshop: This will be a new space dedicated to maintenance staff working on various electrical equipment. This space should be located near the existing shop. 7. Maintenance Office: This will be a new office dedicated to plant maintenance staff. This space would ideally be placed near the electrical workshop. 8. Electrical Repair Room: Convert this space to an office. 9. First Aid/Lactation: The existing location of the first aid room shall be evaluated. The renovated room shall also function as a lactation room. 10. Laboratory/Sample Storage: This area will be required for the plant operations staff. This space would ideally be placed near the control room. 11. Sound Attenuation: Special consideration shall be made to reduce noise in existing offices and new spaces. 12. HVAC modifications shall be included as needed. |
