Description

The Work is generally described as follows replacement of three raw water vertical turbine pumps and motors, new variable frequency drives (VFDs) for four raw water vertical turbine pumps, and associated piping and appurtenances the Raw Water Pumping Station replacement of electrical and control equipment in the Raw Water Pumping Station; construction of a new electrical room in the Raw Water Pumping Station and miscellaneous additional work as described in the project drawings and specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a completed, notarized application form and submitted on the enclosed proposal form. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to make an award on those bids which, in its opinion, are most advantageous to the City of Waukegan. By the order of the Council of the City of Waukegan. Any questions regarding the actual bid should be directed to the Water Plant Superintendent, Antonio Dominguez (847) 599-2687. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Director of Public Works in writing by email at Chris.Garland@WaukeganIL.gov. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
