Description | Project No: 9265A10, PW22-17, UY-21-07 As of April 17, 2023, this project is under construction. Construction began early in 2023 and is expected to last a few years. All trades have been let. The City of Sunnyvale is seeking statements of pre-qualifications from licensed Electrical Subcontractors interested in providing a sub-bid on the UY-21-07 - Sunnyvale Cleanwater Program Secondary Treatment and Dewatering Project and/or UY-21-04 - Sunnyvale Cleanwater Program Existing Plant Rehab Project ("Projects") at the City's Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). All Prospective Electrical Subcontractors interested in providing a sub-bid on the above mentioned Public Works Projects at the City's Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) must be pre-qualified prior to submitting a sub-bid (Prospective Sub-Bidders) on either of those projects. The City will include a list of pre-qualified electrical contractors in the Prime Contract Bidding documents indicating that the Prime Contractor shall only solicit electrical sub-bids from the listed pre-qualified The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost is approximately $200M (Total Project Construction Cost). The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for the electrical scope of work is approximately $30M (Total Project Construction Cost). The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost is approximately $45M (Total Project Construction Cost) The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for the electrical scope of work is approximately $25M (Total Project Construction Cost). Deadline for Subcontractor's Questions December 10, 2021 Construction is anticipated to be completed by June 2026. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. The purpose of the Secondary Treatment and Dewatering Project is to improve various components of the treatment process to meet anticipated future regulatory requirements. This project will build conventional activated sludge facilities, which will be the main method to provide secondary treatment. The existing ponds, air flotation tanks, and fixed growth reactors will remain in service to augment the new facilities during periods of high flow. Thickening and dewatering facilities will be constructed to handle the additional biosolids generated. Solids-handling equipment will be housed in a new building and the ventilated air will be treated by an odor control system. The project work includes the following items: 1. Demolition of the existing 63-inch storm drain pipes. 2. Construction of the new Bioreactors. 3. Construction of the new Blower Building. 4. Construction of the new Secondary Clarifiers. 5. Construction of the new RAS/WAS Pump Station. 6. Construction of the new Thickening/Dewatering Building. 7. Construction of the new Digested Sludge Storage Tank. 8. Construction of the new Thickened Sludge Blend Tank. 9. Construction of the new DEMON Sidestream Treatment. 10.Construction of the improvements to the existing DS supernatant pump station. 11.Construction of the new Standby Generator and Fuel Tank. 12.Additions and modifications to the WPCP paving, grading, and drainage systems. 13.Additions and modifications to the WPCP yard piping system. 14.Construction of a new utility trench. 15.Electrical system improvements, including replacement of the 12.47kV service from PG&E. 16.Instrumentation and control system improvements. The estimated cost for this Work is between: $250M. |
