GAOA Grub Dam Rehabilitation

Dewater reservoir and construction area. Excavate a portion of the existing dam embankment and foundation to remove existing outlet works pipe and construction of the new outlet works. Reconstruct the dam embankment including a. Placement of compacted fill from onsite borrow source b. Placement of compacted lime amended fill c. Placement of imported riprap within excavated areas of the upstream face d. Placement and compaction of imported sand and gravel for internal filter and drain features. Construct precast concrete spillway riser for a new principal spillway. Construct concrete encased, precast reinforced concrete pipe outlet conduit. Construct precast concrete low-level inlet structure. Construct a reinforced cast-in-place concrete impact stilling basin structure. Place road gravel surfacing along the crest of the dam. Lower access road through the auxiliary spillway discharge channel. Reclaim all disturbed areas including staging areas and temporary roads. Reclamation consists of preparation of the soil for seeding but does not include seeding. Seeding of the reclaimed areas will be completed by Others.
