Description | Scope of Work: 1. Remove existing shingle and underlayment to sheathing 2. Protect all of existing structure. Protect from weather at all times 3. Remove existing drip edge and flashing 4. Evaluate roof deck for rot or delamination. Replace with new 3/4" plywood at an additional rate as needed. Specify price per sheet in proposal 5. Provide and install ice and water barrier up the first 6 feet starting at the eves 6. Provide and install ice and water barrier in valleys up a minimum of 18” from center on both sides. 7. Provide and install ice and water barrier at all roof penetrations and where roof abuts side walls. 8. Provide and install seam tape at all plywood seams 9. Provide and install synthetic underlayment on the remainder of the roof deck. 10. Provide and install new drip metal drip edge on perimeter. 11. Provide and install new aluminum vent stack flashing. 12. Provide and install new 30 year lifetime architectural shingles of which the town will pick the color from samples provided by the contractor. 13. Provide and install new cap shingles at the peaks. 14. Provide and install new counter flashing at chimney and other locations as necessary. 15. Remove and replace any damaged or rotted wood fascia/trim boards. 16. Remove and replace any damaged or rotted wood soffits. 17. Replacement wood should be primed on all sides and painted once attached to match the existing paint on house with two coats of exterior grade paint. 18. All materials removed/replaced shall be the responsibility of the contractor to properly dispose of and all lawn areas shall be restored to pre-construction conditions. 19. Contractor is responsible for all dumpster fees, permits, inspections and taxes. |
