Description

The scope of this project is to remove existing substandard concrete and asphaltic pavement on the north and south runway/shoulder touchdown areas. Replace base course materials and place new concrete pavement. Clean and seal all joints on the new concrete pavement. Replace airfield lighting, aircraft arresting system, and provide airfield markings (striping), site improvements, and improve storm water drainage. Reconstruct the runway utilizing conventional design and construction methods to accommodate the mission. The runway will be compatible with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force, and installation design standards and criteria. In addition, local materials and construction techniques shall be used where cost effective.
