Standby Contract for Wastewater Asset Improvements Specialized Methods

Furnish all labor, material and equipment, and perform all work necessary to complete repairs, renewals, and improvements to Wastewater Collection System assets including but not limited to main sewers, manholes, building sewers, force mains, chambers, mechanical gates, operators, valves, etcetera using specialized construction methods or equipment such as soldier piling/lagging, tunnel liner shafts, tight sheeting, deep open cuts, horizontal tunneling, jacking and boring, directional drilling, and pipe bursting. With the exception of Performance Surety, Bid amounts shall include all overhead costs including, but not limited to, profit, insurance, personal safety equipment and appurtenances. In conjunction with repairing, renewing, or improving assets under this contract, the Contractor or his approved Partner(s) will be required to submit a post-repair visual PACP condition assessment of all mainline improvements, repairs, replacements, or renewals. Requirements pertaining to these activities are presented in greater detail in the Appendix B. No payments for a repair will be made without submittal and approval by MSD of a post-repair visual condition assessment. This condition assessment will be performed by a PACP certified and MSD approved subcontractor hired by the Contractor and shall be reimbursed according to the subcontractor rates outlined in Section 7 (Subcontractors Rates).
