Description

As of November 15, 2022, project was awarded to Ajax Paving Industries of FL, LLC, awarded amount is $1,479,844.05. Question Deadline 09/27/2022 at 5:00 PM ET Email all questions to the Engineer of Record, Allison Shaw, P.E., Ashaw@Halff.com. A single response addressing all questions will be e-mailed to all bidders of record by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Each bid must be submitted, in triplicate, on the prescribed Proposal forms. The City of New Port Richey, Florida is seeking competitive bids from licensed contractors to provide all construction items. This will include, but not limited to, labor; materials; paving; concrete placement, pavement marking; sodding; placement of fill; milling/demolition of select concrete, asphaltic concrete, pavement markings, base; and one-year warranty for the project asshown on the project drawings. The Project is located within the City of New Port Richey, Florida, along portions of Illinois Avenue, Georgia Avenue, Tennessee Avenue, Alaska Avenue, Lafayette Street, Calhoun Street, Franklin Street, Adams Street, Jefferson Street, Monroe Street, Jackson Street, Van Buren Street, Harrison Street, Frances Avenue, Maki Lane, Kings Court, Palmetto Road, and Burns Point Circlet as shown on the project plans. The Work is generally described as furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services and incidentals including one-year warranty, necessary to provide the Owner with the items shown on plans and details for the 2021/2022 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. All work shall be in accordance with the construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Bid documents may be requested by contacting the Engineer of Record, Allison Shaw, P.E. at Halff Associates, Inc. (813) 522-8314. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the City of New Port Richey Public Works Facility, 6132 Pine Hill Road, Port Richey, FL 34668 or at the office of the Engineer, Halff Associates, Inc., 1000 N. Ashley Drive, Suite 900, Tampa, FL 33602, (813) 522-8314 (Ashaw@Halff.com). To ensure that Bidders receive all addenda and/or clarifications to the Bid Documents in a timely manner, it is mandatory that all bidders provide an e-mail to the Engineer of Record, Allison Shaw, P.E., Ashaw@Halff.com, and obtain at least one set of Bid Documents from the Engineer to be eligible to bid on this project. Addendum will be issued by e-mail; therefore, it isimperative that the bidder provide his/her email to the Engineer of Record. Each bid must be submitted, in triplicate, on the prescribed Proposal forms and accompanied by Bid security on the prescribed form, payable to the City of New Port Richey, in an amount not less than five percent of the base bid amount. The proposers name and full address along with ITB23-002 2021/2022 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents. Before a Contract will be awarded for the work contemplated herein, the Engineer of Record will conduct such investigations as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low Bidder to perform the size and scope of work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the Engineer of Record to evaluate the Bidders qualifications. The City of New Port Richey reserves the right to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not extend beyond 90 days from the Proposal opening date. Prior to contract signing, the contractor must furnish Certificates of General Liability, Vehicle Liability, and Workmans Compensation insurance in amounts not less than $1,000,000 to the City. Contractor shall include Owner as additional insured party on the Certificate of Insurance. All insurance coverage shall be written by companies licensed to do business in Florida and shall be administered by a Florida registered agent. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors and Business Licenses as required by state statues. The right is reserved to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time, which, however, shall not extend beyond 90 days from the Proposal opening date.
