Project: Mouse Creek 12th St Detention Structures Cleveland, TN Solicitation Number: W912P522B0016 The Bidder Inquiry Key: QT6AZ2-WHSUC3 The project will include the following features of work: A concrete spillway for overflow and box culvert (4-foot width) at the base of the structure for underflow, which will restrict the stream that currently runs through the site. An earthen berm of a height not exceeding 10 feet from the existing stream bed that will extend from both sides of the spillway and tie into the proposed top elevation of 860 feet and 859.5 feet on the west and east side of the structure, respectively. The terrain on the upstream side of the proposed detention structure will be graded to have a 2% slope from the edge of the existing stream bank up to allow for sheet flow into the stream. Any excess material acquired from the grading work may be used as fill material for the detention structure if found to meet the criteria for acceptable. A stilling basin is also proposed on the downstream side between the ends of the wingwall to reduce velocities dissipate energy from the water overtopping the spillway. The downstream portion of the spillway will be armored up to 25 feet out with articulated concrete block (ACB) to prevent any erosion, cavitation, or mining of the soil.
