Runway and Pavement Marking Paint

This specification covers three types of low VOC (volatile organic compounds), ready-mixed, one-component, 100% acrylic waterborne airfield and traffic marking paint. The paint is suitable for application on such traffic-bearing surfaces as Portland cement concrete, bituminous cement concrete, asphalt, tar, and previously painted areas of these surfaces. The paint may be used either alone or to bind reflective beads. A.5.2 Classification A.5.2.1 Types - The paint must be furnished in the following types as specified (See A.10.2): Type II - For use under adverse conditions (See A.10.1). A.5.2.2 Color – Traffic paint must be furnished in white and any Federal Standard 595 color, as specified (See A.7.2.7 and A.10.3)
