FY20 Snow Plowing

1. Contractor will initiate plowing when 4” of snow has accumulated 2. Maintain less than 4” of snow on the deck such that the surface is reasonably passable by the public 3. For storms accumulating less than 3" of snow, DPW may request plowing; contractor may defer 4. It is understood that weather or other conditions outside of the control of the contractor may affect performance; reasonable communication with the Garage Maintenance Foreman is expected in the event of such circumstances 5. Contractor shall be responsible for all plowing operations, equipment and staff 6. Snow shall be hauled off site to an appropriate disposal location, identified to the City 7. Plowing includes A. Top Deck of the Marketplace Garage, Lakeview Garage and College Street Garage B. Plow-able walking corridors on those decks 8. Prices include all labor, equipment 9. All snow plowing & removal equipment must have plastic tips on plow blades 10. All back-up alarms on all equipment used are turned off when plowing or removing snow 11. All walkways, cross overs, entry & exit lanes 12. Ensure the safety & protection of the pedestrians during snow removal activities 13. Snow removal equipment can be stored on-site in coordination with the Maintenance Foreman 14. Snow removal timing at the Lake View Garage will require coordination with and approval by the Maintenance Foreman due to contractual obligations with the Hotels. 15. Snow removal be completed within 48 hours of the end of the storm event.
