Description | **As of May 2, 2023, project was awarded to NUTTER CORPORATION, awarded amount is $1,787,946.98.** The project includes surveying, traffic control, demolition of the existing pump station, clearing & grubbing, earthwork, geotextile, rock placement, HMA pavement, electrical upgrades, site restoration and other work. The City ofLongview accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addenda and submit inadequate or incorrect responses. All work performed on this project will be subject to the Washington State prevailing wage rates. Cash, cashier's check, certified check and/or bid bond in an amount equal to at least 5% ofthe total bid price shall accompany all bids. The City ofLongview in accordance with Title VI ofthe Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code ofFederal Regulations, Department ofTransportation, subtitle A, Office ofthe Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs ofthe Department ofTransportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds ofrace, color or national origin in consideration for an award. The City ofLongview is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. Small, Minority and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds in an amount equal to 100% ofthe contract price. The City Council reserves the right to: reject any and/or all bids; accept the bid deemed in the best interest ofthe City; waive any informalities in the bidding; delay the award ofthe bid until a regular Council meeting. Bids must be sealed with the outside of the envelope boldly marked to indicate that it contains a sealed bid, the bid opening date, and the specific project involved. All contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business.
