Fiber Optic Infrastructure

Provide a solution for upgrading the current fiber optic infrastructure at the Bolivia Complex site. The primary goals of upgrading the fiber optic infrastructure are: 1. Providing improved speed and reliability using modern, fiber optic cabling 2. Providing a resilient communications network with high fault tolerance, using multi-pathing and link aggregation 3. Improve flexibility, via multiple path options 4. Improving work efficiency by offering faster, more reliable uplinks to core resources and the Internet 5. Investing in a fiber infrastructure that is scalable to grow with the County well into the future The new fiber optic system shall consist of multiple pathways between the existing structures on site, and will be implemented in phases to reduce or eliminate end user service disruption. In some cases, existing conduit pathways may be used to house the new fiber runs. In other cases, new conduit may need to be buried. It will be the responsibility of the solution provider to survey the site, mark existing utilities, and install conduit and required pull boxes in order to accommodate the new fiber optic cable runs.
