Description | The location of the work is: West side of Wall Avenue from 2nd Street to 500 feet south of 2nd Street. The project shall be governed by these contract documents, special conditions, specifics related to the work, and all provisions of the Manual of Standard Specifications and Manual of Standard Plans 2017 Edition published by the Utah Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) and Ogden City Engineering Standards for Public Improvements 2020 Edition which are applicable to the work are made a part of the Contract Documents by reference. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the equipment, facilities, services, and appurtenances thereto as included in the Contract Documents. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: Sidewalk, curb and gutter, storm drain pipe and catch basin, tree remove, stump grinding, sod/topsoil, rock landscaping and asphalt work. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Unsealed or segregated Bids will not be accepted. The Work will be Substantially Completed 59 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. a. The project is intended to proceed over two phases. The first phase shall comprise the time from the Notice To Proceed and conclude upon completion of the sidewalk installation. Whereat, contract time shall be suspended until conditions of the Phase 2 are met. b. Work in Phase 2 may not begin prior to April 15th, 2023 but must be substantially complete by no later than June 15th, 2023. B. The total cumulative time for completion of Phase 1 and Phase 2 work shall not exceed the total calendar days as listed in Contract Time 00 41 50 Section 1.4 of this contract. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security will be returned to each unsuccessful Bidder after tabulation and in accordance with Document 00 20 00, Section 2.3.D. The OWNER reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid that best serves its convenience and/or is found to be in the best interest of the City. |
