Description

The Village of Crestwood is requesting proposals for the services of a qualified Contactor to demo two buildings, four tanks and pavement at 13301 S. Cicero Ave. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. No proposal shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the Mayor and Board of Tmstees. Village of Crestwood. Illinois for a period of thirty days after the scheduled time of closing proposals. The Village reserves die right to reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractors or Subcontractors for construction work for this project shall be paid wages at the rates not less than those prevailing on similar construction in the locality as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended (40 U.S.C. 276a-276-a-5) and shall receive overtime compensation in accordance with and subject to the provisions of the Contract Work and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 327-333), and the Contractor and Subcontractors shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to these Acts and with other applicable Federal laws and regulations pertaining to the labor standards. The Secretary of Labor lias, with respect to the labor standards specified in this Section, the authority and functions set forth in Reorganization Plan Number 14 of 1950 (5 U.S.C. 133Z-15) and Section 2 of the Act of June 13. 1934. as amended (40 U.S.C. 276c). The Contractor sliall properly pay all debts incurred by him or her in the scope of the work agreed on and provide all waivers for labor and material furnished. It is die explicit policy of die Village of Crestwood to not discriminate on die basis of race, color, national origin, sexual orientation or sex in die performance of diis project. Please refer to attached Business Enterprise Plan. The Contractor sliall be required to furnish sufficient insurance and guarantee of indemnity to die Village of Crestwood, Illinois, and the Engineer, against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to die negligent acts of die Contractor, its employees, agents, and all Subcontractors during die construction of the said improvements until final acceptance lias been approved by die Mayor and Board of Tmstees of die Village of Crestwood. The right to reject any and all proposals or proposals in reserve.
