Description | This Request for Bids ("RFB") involves at a minimum, all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and parts to clean, when requested all sections of all seven (7) trains of the Authority's Odor Control Systems which serve the Authority's Sludge Management Facility located in the Authority's Central Treatment Plant in Sayreville, New Jersey; and all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and parts to clean when requested, the Authority's conveyor systems which serve the Authority's Sludge Management Facility. Work also includes miscellaneous incidental work associated with the maintenance of the Odor Control Systems and conveyor systems, as and when directed. Each Bidder must submit with its Bid, Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond executed by the Principal and Surety Company Attorney in Fact and witnessed to and attested with an appropriate Power of Attorney attached, or a cashier's check, or treasurer's check or certified check or money order made payable to the order of the Treasurer, Middlesex County Utilities Authority and in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price, not to exceed $20,000.00. In addition to the Bid Security, each Bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety written by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and listed by the United States Treasury Department in its latest Circular 570 list of qualified Surety Companies, and which is otherwise acceptable to the Authority, that in the event of an award of the Contract to the Bidder, said Surety will furnish the required contract bond(s) in the sum of the full amount of the Bid as set forth and as required in the RFB. The contract bond(s) for this RFB include the following and must be from a Surety Company acceptable to the Authority and satisfying the requirements of the RFB: - Performance Bond - Labor and Materials Payment Bond The Successful Bidder will be required to present to the Authority the approved contract bonds duly executed and be prepared to execute the Contract within twenty-one (21) days of the date of receipt of the Notice of Contract Award. The Authority reserves the right to waive any minor informalities or reject any and all Bids in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., as well as any other applicable law |
