Professional Services Agreement to Provide Design of the New Maryland Court of Appeals

The State of Maryland is moving forward with its most ambitious and significant Judiciary facility in over 60 years. The scope of this project consists of the design and construction of Maryland’s New Court of Appeals in Annapolis on Rowe Boulevard. The Court House is programmed as a multi-level building which contains a modified historic Maryland Court of Appeals Court Room and three (3) Maryland Court of Special Appeals Court rooms. The building will contain an expanded Maryland Law Library with its many important collections. Those administrative functions necessary for the efficient functioning of the Maryland Appellate Judiciary system are also contained within the new structure. The building is programmed at 215,307 GSF/125,954 NSF in total and includes 80 secure parking spaces. It will be designed to provide the latest in electronic document retention, communications and data, extensive security measures and defensive design characteristics.
